Two Lakh Crore Waqf Land Scam rocks Karnataka Assembly - NewsX

A Karnataka government-appointed committee which surveyed waqf board lands in the state says it has stumbled upon a multicrore scandal. The estimated loss to the exchequer is Rs 2 lakh crore. It says that major irregularities took place in the transfer of government land to private parties mostly between 2001 and 2012. The Congress has started an onslaught that this is nothing but the BJP's tactic to divert attention from a plethora of scam rocking the party in the state. The JD(S) has demanded a detailed probe.
