BRICS summit to commence amid elaborate security arrangements - NewsX

Elaborate security arrangements have been made in Delhi for the BRICS Summit. The Summit is likely to see pacts being signed on a local credit facility and on extending credit facilities in the local currency. Key focus areas will also include the global economic situation and the after-effects of the financial crisis in the US and the EU zone as well as reforms of multilateral institutions. India has made tight security arrangements for Chinese President Hu Jintao. India has assured China that it will put a tight lid on Tibetan protests to prevent any embarrassment to the Chinese delegation.
