The RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat has now landed in a new controversy. The controversy is over an incident that took place in Ayodhya the birthplace of Lord Rama. A group of tribal girls reportedly made to wash the feet of the RSS chief at the Ram Janaki Temple in the city. Since the tribal girls are all training to be sadhvis, the local Sadhus were upset with the fact that they had to wash Bhagwat's feet. They claimed that Bhagwat had no spiritual authority to justify such a privilege. According to them this made the action of having his feet touched by the sadhvis a sin and an insult to women in general. The RSS has defended Bhagwat claiming he had committed no sin.
