26/11 attack: Debate over Kasab's fate revived-NewsX

Debate over Kasab's fate, the lone surviving gunman in the the 2008 attack, is back in the front burner. The court appointed amicus curiae has submitted to the Supreme Court that Ajmal Kasab does not deserve death penalty. Amicus Curiae Raju Ramachandran has submitted that Kasab neither got a fair trial nor did he get proper legal assistance. Ramachandran also doubted the veracity of Kasab's confessional statement saying it appeared to be a forcibly extracted version.
