Bihar BJP wants action against Shatrughan Sinha's pro-Nitish remarks
  • 5 years ago
The Bihar BJP leadership on Tuesday urged party president Rajnath Singh to take cognisance of the anti-Narendra Modi and pro-Nitish Kumar remarks of Patna Sahib MP Shatrughan Sinha.

State BJP leaders met at the party headquarters and expressed concern over repeated statements of Sinha in support of the Bihar chief minister. State BJP president Mangal Pandey and leader of BJP legislature party Sushil Kumar Modi were among those who attended the meeting.

Pandey told media, "Shatrughan Sinha is an MP and the state unit cannot take disciplinary action against him. The central leadership will take note of his statements and initiate appropriate step." Modi nodded. "We are not competent to take action. Shatrughan Sinha is a national leader, not a state leader," he said.
