There's still no official word from the government on its stand against demands that Salman Rushdie be refused entry into India.The government has been under pressure from the Darul Uloom Islamic seminary to keep Rushdie out and given the elections in U.P and the opposition's strong backing for the Uloom's demands it's a voice the government may not find easy to ignore.
