A sudden spell of rain and hailstorm has sent cold shivers across Northern India. Delhi has been facing intermittent light showers and that has brought down the temperatures drastically. In fact, the national capital witnessed the coldest day of this winter on Friday with maximum temperature plummeting to the season's lowest of 16.9 degree Celsius. All schools in Noida and Ghaziabad on the outskirts of Delhi have been ordered shut till January 12 in view of intense cold. Many parts of the Kashmir Valley were covered with a layer of snow as minimum temperature increased.
