Election commission seizes Rs 1.37 crore and 10 kg silver money in Barabanki - money was sent to influence voters. Its poll season in U.P and the election Commission have a job in hand, keeping a tab on all the electoral malpractices. On Thursday, over 2 crore in cash was seized in raids at Ghaziabad, Gonda, Faizabad and Bulandsahar. The money was purportedly to be used to influence voters. In Ghaziabad, sleuths recovered 91 lakh rupees in cash and a Bolero car. Rupees 20 lakhs and 5 kg silver bars were seized from Gonda. Over 81 lakhs were seized from Faizabad an 3.5 lakhs in Bulandsahar.
