Hooch Tragedy: Toll reaches 167; hunt on for kingpin
  • 5 years ago
The death toll in West Bengal's hooch tragedy has gone up to a shocking 167. Two more persons have been arrested for selling illicit liquor, taking the total number of culprits to 12. But the kingpin of these operations remains at large. The Kingpin Badshah Khokon allegedly owned several illegal distilleries and is primarily a bulk supplier to middlemen. Chief minister Mamata Banerjee has now been in Delhi today. She has called an all-party meeting on the 19th December to discuss the issue.
