Team Anna's core committee to meet; Cabinet clears three anti-graft bills

In a bid to take the fizz out of the December 27 protest fast by Anna Hazare, the UPA govt has armed itself with a series of Bills to combat corruption. The Cabinet has given a nod to three anti-graft bills. The contentious Lokpal bill may still be under deliberation. But there were three other Bills that were swiftly cleared by the Union Cabinet on Tuesday evening. After getting the allies on board on the Lokpal issue, the Congress party hopes to avoid the FDI -like mess-up. The UPA govt has now geared up for the All Party Meet today to be held at 6 PM.
