India News : Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi performed the 'Pahind Vidhi' (symbolic cleaning of the path for chariot of Lord Jagannath) for the 136th Lord Jagannath rath yatra, which began here on the morning of July 10.

The annual chariot festival of the Lord Jagannath, his brother Balabhadra and sister Subhadra started here Wednesday morning with Narendra Modi flagging off the procession amid chanting of hymns.

After that the procession of Lord Jagannath, Lord Baldev and their sister Subhadra began.
