Even as the NDA claims tacit support of the Left parties against the UPA especially on price rise and black money, there are indications that the UPA has a counter strategy at work. Left leaders held a meeting with the Parliamentary affairs minister Pawan Bansal, V Narayansamy and Rajiv Shukla. Sources say they received an assurance that the Left has agreed for a discussion on the issue of inflation and may not press too hard for adjournment motion demand. Left parties have already distanced themselves from the boycott call against Home Minister P Chidambaram.
