India News : Narendra Modi targets Congress in Mumbai

India News : Lashing out at the Congress for "destroying the democratic fabric of the country by using the CBI" to target political opponents, Gujarat chief minister and the BJP's putative prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi alleged the Congress was devaluing the Planning Commission by creating the Congress president Sonia Gandhi-led National Advisory Council (NAC), which comprised of "five-star activists."

Modi, who heads the BJP's campaign committee, released a book by BJP ideologue Vinay Sahasrabuddhe on Thursday.

Earlier, Modi met Shiv Sena president Uddhav Thackeray in the backdrop of repeated criticism of him by the Sena mouthpiece Saamna.
