Art Talk - Shubha Mudgal with Freedom Songs Part 1 of 1

Leading vocalist, Shubha Mudgal, with rarely heard songs from the freedom struggle. Watch out for a little known story of how Gandhiji met the Tawaifs of Benaras, and inspired them to sing songs of protest against the British. Shubha Mudgal sings one of those protest songs, as also poetry by Sahir Ludhianvi, Shivmangal Singh Suman and a 'Prabhat Pheri'. All the presentations have been set to tune by Shubha Mudgal and her husband, Aneesh Pradhan.
