Farmers organize a Mahapanchayat against the UP govt

Farmers from 54 villages in Uttar Pradesh descended on Greater Noida for a Mahapanchayat. Upset with the Mayawati govt and the terms of land acquisition the farmers now threaten to halt the ongoing construction work in the sectors falling within the original ambit of their villages, if they are not given their dues.
