India News: His dealings in the ministries of railways and finance are under a cloud and now Chandigarh BJP chief Sanjay Tandon has alleged that Pawan Kumar Bansal doled out illegal favours when he was water resources minister from July 2011 to October 2012.

Bansal gave permission, in a May 4, 2012 letter, to dig tube wells to, among other firms, Motia Townships Ltd, which had given share application money of Rs 30 lakh to Mirage Infra Pvt Ltd in which Bansal's nephew Vijay Singla is a director. Singla has been arrested for accepting bribe from a senior railways official to get him the post of his choice.
