JDU: LK Advani more acceptable as PM candidate

India News: The Janata Dal (United) hinted on Sunday that it would prefer Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) senior leader LK Advani over Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi as the NDA's prime ministerial candidate. The admission was made by the party's spokesperson Devesh Chandra Thakur.
Till now, the party has been putting pressure on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for not projecting Modi as the NDA's PM candidate. The JD(U) will further press its demand in its resolution which will be passed on the second day of the JD(U) National Executive Meeting on Sunday.
