Government's insensitivity in putting down protests against Damini's death at India Gate is reverberating with instances of police high handedness, coming to the fore.
An activist has alleged that the SHO of the Parliament Street police station took it upon himself to punish her for protesting. She alleges that she was slapped and forced to sweep and swap the police station floor. The police also allegedly refused to register her FIR.
