Pakistan forced to release IAF Pilot Abhinandan Varthaman; heavy security at Wagah-Attari border
  • 5 years ago
Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman will be returning to India today. He will return through Wagah border. He's expected to return after 2pm in the afternoon. It was announced by Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan to his parliament that Pakistan decided to take the step as a goodwill gesture. Dismissing this claim, the Vice Air Marshall RG Kapoor said that Abhinandan had to be returned by Pakistan, while expressing everyone is pleased to hear the news. Wing Commander Varthaman's Mig jet was lost in aerial combat when he gave chase to Pakistan’s f 16 while he brought the Pakistani giant down, he ejected in Pakistani territory and was subsequently captured by Pakistani Army.
