‘A Star Is Born' Is Being
Re-released With New Footage Warner Bros. will rerelease the film
in more than 1,150 theaters with
12 minutes of never-before-seen footage. It will be available in both the United States
and Canada for one week beginning March 1. The additional footage will feature the writing of
a new song “Clover,” and various extensions of scenes. It will also show extended performances throughout the movie of the songs “Shallow,” “Black Eyes” and “Alibi.” This “special encore engagement” is
in honor of the movie’s success at the 2019 Oscars. ‘A Star is Born’ was nominated
for eight awards including best picture. Lady Gaga’s song “Shallow”
won the Academy Award for
best original song. ‘A Star is Born’ has grossed a total of $426 million worldwide since its October 2018 release.
