South Korea's major political parties have also adopted a joint statement showing their support for the second summit between North Korea and the U.S.
Signed by the five biggest political parties,... the statement reads that the parties welcome the smooth preparations for the Hanoi summit,... and hopes for its success along with the international community.
The parties also said the summit must take place based on the strong Seoul-Washington alliance,... and relevant countries should step up their coordination in the future.
They hoped the meeting will become a milestone for North Korea's complete denuclearization,... and permanent peace on the Korean Peninsula.
They said they will keep close tabs on the outcome... and take non-partisan measures if necessary.
