Nearly 200 People Stranded on Train in Oregon for 36 Hours

The Amtrak train hit a tree that had fallen onto the tracks and got stuck in the snow in Oakridge, Oregon, south of Eugene. The train is now being pulled by a Union Pacific locomotive back toward Eugene. The train left Seattle Feb. 24 at
9:45 a.m. heading to Los Angeles. None of the 180 passengers or roughly one dozen crew members were injured. Tim McMahan, Union Pacific, via statement Roads were closed in the area
