Ahmed Rashid: What Germany Should Do in Afghanistan

The Pakistani journalist and acclaimed author Ahmed Rashid gave a very thoughtful, passionate and captivating keynote speech at the Heinrich Boell Foundation's conference on "Values and Interests in Foreign Policy" on September 11, 2008. He argued that Germany should intensify its political and military efforts in northern Afghanistan.
