Jussie Smollett's 'Empire' Role
Cut Amid 'Attack' Scandal Smollett was recently accused
of paying two men to
stage an attack against him. According to TMZ, the claims have
prompted 'Empire' producers to drastically
cut his upcoming appearances on the show. In the second to last episode, which is
currently being filmed, Smollett was
supposed to have 9 scenes and a musical number. The script has reportedly
undergone numerous revisions. TMZ's sources say that 5 of his scenes, as well as the musical performance, have been dropped. Smollett will not be a focal
point in the remaining 4 scenes. Smollett's assault case will
be heard by a Grand Jury. If the actor is found guilty of
presenting a false police report,
he would face a felony indictment.
