In Presidents' Day Tweet, Trump Touts Country's 'Unprecedented Progress' Under His Leadership

President Trump on Monday marked Presidents' Day by touting the progress the U.S. has made under his leadership.  "Hope you are enjoying your President's Day, our Country is making unprecedented progress!" Trump wrote in an afternoon tweet. The tone was a marked departure from that in his earlier Twitter statements. "Wow, so many lies by now disgraced acting FBI Director Andrew McCabe," Trump wrote hours prior. "He was fired for lying, and now his story gets even more deranged. He and Rod Rosenstein, who was hired by Jeff Sessions (another beauty), look like they were planning a very illegal act, and got caught."  "There is a lot of explaining to do to the millions of people who had just elected a president who they really like and who has done a great job for them with the Military, Vets, Economy and so much more," Trump continued. "This was the illegal and treasonous 'insurance policy' in full action!"  The tweets appear to be a reference to McCabe's interview with '60 Minutes,' which aired on Sunday.
McCabe claimed that after the firing of FBI Director James Comey, top Justice Department officials briefly discussed recruiting "cabinet members to invoke the 25th Amendment to remove Mr. Trump from office," reports the New York Times.
