Police Arrest Two Men in Connection With Jussie Smollett Attack Chicago authorities say that both of the suspects previously met Smollett on the set of TV show 'Empire.' According to the actor and musician, the men put a rope around his neck and yelled racial slurs at him. Smollett adds that they also threw an unknown chemical liquid in his face. In the attack on January 29, Smollett suffered a few bruises to his midsection, but no broken bones. Local reports previously claimed that the incident was a hoax. But police say that there is
no evidence of that.
