U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has told a group of visiting South Korean officials that the intention of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un is to demilitarize South Korea, rather than denuclearize his own regime.
Meeting with South Korean parliamentary leaders led by National Assembly Speaker Moon Hee-sang in Washington on Wednesday,... Pelosi also stressed it's time for the North to put its words into action.
She added that she's hopeful rather than optimistic about the South Korean people's expectations to establish lasting peace on the Korean Peninsula.
