Underground The Julian Assange Story Director Robert Connolly talks to Red Carpet News TV in an exclusive Interview at the BFI London Film Festival 2012.

Based on the bestselling book of Suelette Dreyfus the film chronicles the early life of controversial Wikileaks founder Julian Assange. The film stars Rachel Griffiths, Anthony LaPaglia and Alex Williams.

Rachel Griffiths plays the young hackers mother Christine Assange, and Anthona LaPaglia plays Detective Ken Roberts, an Australian Federal Police officer who heads the team tasked with tracking him down.

The film focuses on Assange's hacking past as while still only 17 he takes on the US military with a group of Melbourne hackers and grabs the attention of international authorities

Julian Assange is now one of the most infamous and controversial political figures on the planet thanks to founding whistle-blower website Wikileaks and currently claiming asylum in the Ecuadorian embassy in London to avoid extradition to Sweden on charges of sexual assault which he denies and claims to be a politically motivated attack driven by American anger of his websites embarrassing political disclosures.
