Dexter star Jennifer Carpenter who plays Dexter's adopted sister Debra Morgan in the hit drama series talks to us ahead of the UK premiere of the explosive sixth season.

The show centres on seemingly mild mannered Dexter Morgan, who works as a forensic expert for the Miami police but also hides a dark secret. Driven by his 'dark passenger' he's secretly a vigilante serial killer. Pushing boundaries and raising difficult moral questions it's one of the most compelling and original shows on television with a huge fan base.

The latest series promises all the usual twists and murderous turns as well as the prospect of finally resolving the unspoken romantic chemistry between Deb and Dexter. Fans also wait with baited breath to see if Deb will finally learn the truth of Dexter's secret double life.

Jennifer Carpenter tells us how Deb has evolved since starting the show as a nervous rookie cop in the first season. She also talks about how she thinks Deb would react if she knew the truth about Dexter. Jennifer also confesses that since the show started she has always secretly known that Deb was drawn to Dexter and probably in love with him.

Jennifer also talks a little about how she got started in acting and tells us what fans can expected from season seven of Dexter and beyond.
