VVIP Chopper Scam: Christian Michel not an absconder, says Michel's lawyer

The Delhi's Patiala House Court has reserved the order on Christian Michel's bail plea. The hearing will now come up on the 16th of February. The ED and CBI on Tuesday strongly opposed bail to Christian Michel, as the agencies believe that the British national could once again abscond if released. The CBI and ED said that Michel was extradited after a rigorous process and that there was substantial evidence against him. Michel's defence has been that the chargesheet against him had not been filed within the stipulated 60-day period. CBI argues that provisions of section 167(2) of CRPC doesn't apply in this case.
