Over 250 S. Koreans heading to N. Korea for civic exchanges
- 5 years ago
A group of over 250 South Koreans are making a two-day trip to the North starting today.
They're from South Korea's major civic groups representing all walks of life... as well as a few lawmakers and figures related to inter-Korean economic cooperation.
The groups will be meeting with their North Korean counterparts over two days.
They are planning to suggest deepening inter-Korean interactions and exchanges in various fields -- for example, enabling temple stay programs at a North Korean temple... and holding a joint academic event for educators.
Cooperation over the issue of Japan's wartime sexual enslavement of Korean women will also be proposed.
