Trump Claims African Americans Are 'Very Angry' In Wake Of Virginia Scandals

President Trump has said that “African Americans are very angry at the double standard on full display in Virginia!”

President Trump tweeted Sunday that "African Americans are very angry at the double standard on full display in Virginia!"
Though he did not elaborate further, the president's tweet comes as Virginia's governor Ralph Northam and attorney general Mark Herring are embroiled in racist scandals involving blackface.
According to PBS, these revelations have hit the African American community particularly hard because "both Northam and...Herring campaigned heavily in black areas, and were given entree into many communities by local officials, faith leaders, business owners and regular citizens."
And this support by African Americans was said to be driven, in part, as a protest against racist elements from the 2016 presidential campaign and the violent nationalist rally in Charlottesville.
Nevertheless, there appears to be uncertainty about the fate of Virginia's leadership, especially since lieutenant governor Justin Fairfax, an African American, is facing sexual assault allegations.
