Prancing horses welcome Tibetan New Year

Tibetans of Litang county in China’s Sichuan province celebrated their new year with a horse parade. A mulberry burning ritual was performed in front of Renkang House, the birthplace of the 7th Dalai Lama, to pray for good fortune and harvest. This year, Tibetan New Year fell on the same day as the Lunar New Year that is being celebrated across China and many other parts of Asia.
