Message In A Bath Bomb

Valentine's Day is coming up and we know some of you need to come up with something special for your significant other. Not to worry, our very own Quipid has got you covered! Jessica Hord has found a way to make bath bombs with a custom love message inside.

You'll Need:

— 1 cup baking soda

— 3/4 cup corn starch

— 1/4 epsom salt

— 1/2 cup citric acid

— 1/4 cup water

— food dye (Jessica used 14 drops of red.)

— essential oil (Jessica used 20 drops of rose.)

— Silicone mold (Jessica used a heart mold.)

— foam sheet (Jessica used dark pink.)

— waterproof marker (Jessica used red.)

Instructions:

1. Cut hearts from foam sheet (make sure they are small enough to fit in your mold while still allowing space around the edges) and write messages on them. Set aside.

2. Whisk together baking soda, corn starch, epsom salt and citric acid.

3. Pour water, dye and oil into a spray bottle and whisk into mixture, using only a few sprays at a time between whisking.

4. Once your desired color is achieved, test to see if it packs. You can do this by grabbing a handful and squeezing. If it doesn't pack, continue to whisk in sprays of water solution until it packs.

5. Once the mixture passes the pack test, spoon into mold and, using fingers, pack the mixture into the mold. Stop once the mold is half full.

6. Put foam heart messages side down in the mold and fill mold to the top with mixture and pack.

7. Once packed, let molds sit overnight, then pop them out and gift. You're done!
