1 At times also called "Shri Ram Stuti", Shri Ramachandra Kripalu is a Sanskrit prayer that was written by the great poet, Goswami Tulsidas back in the sixteenth century.

2 In his famous verses, Kavi Tulsidas glorifies Lord Rama for his virtues and describes his characteristics in a poetic form.

3 This harmony is till date recited as a Bhajan by devoted followers and during the Kirtans in temples of Lord Rama.

4 The starting verse of the Shri Ramachandra Kripalu is;

|| Shri Ramachandra Kripalu Bhajamana Harana Bhavabhaya Darunam |

Nava Kanja Locana Kanja Mukha Kara Kanja Pada Kanjarunam ||1||

5 The meaning of this stanza is;

O mind, revere the kind-hearted Lord Ramachandra, who is the remover of worldly sorrow (Bhava), fear (Bhaya) and poverty (Daruna).

Whose eyes are like fresh lotuses, face is like lotus and hands are like lotuses, feet are like lotuses and he himself is like the rising sun.
