Man faces insurance fraud after CCTV outs fake fall scam

WOODBRIDGE, NEW JERSEY — CBS New York reports that a New Jersey man is facing fraud charges after his hilariously bad fake fall scam was caught on camera.

CCTV footage posted by the Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office on Facebook shows Alexander Goldinsky in the empty cafeteria of an unnamed Woodbridge company where he was working as an independent contractor.

The 57-year-old can be seen tossing a cup of ice on the floor and then throwing the cup away. He stands over the ice for a while before clutching the counter and taking a very deliberate tumble to the floor.

CNN reports that according to the Prosecutor's Office, the man then stayed on the floor and waited to be discovered.

Goldinsky later filed an insurance claim for ambulance service to the local hospital, and treatment for injuries he supposedly sustained in the "fall."

Needless to say, the CCTV outed his scam, and his hilariously bad acting.

He was arrested in January for insurance fraud and theft by deception, but has since been released with a summons until he faces a judge in February.
