Kangaroo takes cool bath during heatwave in Australia

Two men came across a kangaroo who needed their help during one of their trips out at work in the burning heat in southwest Australia.

The clip, filmed in New South Wales on January 16 shows a man, Steve, attempt to cool down a kangaroo who was sitting in a trough on his land.

“In drought-stricken Outback Australia, with no food and 54 degrees Celsius (130 F) heat, the wild animals are past being cautious and let you into their space,” says Steve.

“I found this one sitting in a stock trough so I just went up and splashed water over it to cool off,” he continued.

“We run 4x4 off-road races (Cliffhanger4x4.com) in the Outback and come across sorts of crazy stuff. On this occasion we happened to have a phone to capture the moment,” said the filmer.
