Fewer companies will offer bonuses for the Lunar New Year this year,... due mostly to the sluggish economy.
According to the Korea Employers Federation, 67-point-eight percent out of 397 businesses said they would give a bonus for the holiday, down three-point-seven percentage points from the previous year.
Nearly 74 percent of large companies with over 300 employees said they would offer a bonus, down 5 percentage points on-year,... while some 66 percent of smaller companies will offer bonuses, down 3-point-5 percentage points.
Employees are expected to get a bonus of 992 U.S. dollars on average for this year's holiday.
