Ooty revolves around Murali and Roja who fall in love but Murali is forced to marry his uncle's daughter to fulfill an obligation. Roja continues to love him and does not want to marry anyone else. The movie begins to take quick pace when a child psychiatrist (Ajay), who visits Ooty, falls in love with Roja and attempts to win her over. Meanwhile, Murali becomes a widower. The psychiatrist does his best to keep them from learning the truth. Can Roja and Murali still come together forms the rest of the story.
