A phrase we are starting to hear a lot is, It’s bigger than football or it’s bigger than basketball. Which is truly amazing. Because while it is fun to argue stats, and who is the greatest of all time, it nice to see that a lot of players are starting to realize it’s the legacy that you build off the court that will give people more than something to cheer for. It will impact their lives. And when you have the resources to do that, why not? According to Sports Illustrated, Kevin Durant has partnered with College track to form the Durant Center in his hometown of Suitland in Maryland. It is not just a quick fix for students. It is a 10-year plan that helps kids from their teenage years, through college by providing turning services, and funds for college.
