South Korea's economy grew at its slowest pace in six years in 2018...mainly due to sluggish investment.
According to the Bank of Korea on Tuesday, GDP increased by two-point-seven percent last year,... its slowest pace since 2012.
But it did meet the BOK's earlier growth forecast made in October.
The central bank says construction and facilities investment fell by four percent and one-point-seven percent, respectively.
On a brighter note, exports of goods and services expanded by four percent and private consumption rose by two-point-eight percent.
During the October-to-December period, South Korea's GDP rose one percent on-quarter.
