Lottery ticket sales in South Korea hit a record high last year,... topping three-point-five billion U.S. dollars for the first time.
It's more than the previous sales record in 2003,... when there was a buying frenzy after a winner scooped a record jackpot in April that included money carried over from previous drawings.
There were 52 draws during 2018,... and one-point-six billion dollars was distributed as prize money.
