Egypt's largest secondhand book market faces uncertain future

Nearly 130 book sellers at "Soor Al-Azbakeya" in Egypt's capital Cairo hold their own book fair on a sidewalk, offering secondhand books at low prices. The Azbakeya book market is known as the oldest market for secondhand books in Egypt, but its future is uncertain: its participation in the 50th edition of the official Cairo book fair, which is scheduled to kick off on January 23rd, was limited for "unknown reasons".
