A creepy crawly pet

A giant centipede kept as a pet in Taiwan is sending chills across the internet after its owner posted videos of the venomous creature crawling over his skin. Taiwanese student Neil Cheng said he bought the female Peruvian giant centipede in 2014 when she was just a fraction of her current size. The arthropods normally grow to a 30cm (12 inches) long, but this unnamed specimen now measures 42cm (16.5 inches). Centipede bites can deliver enough venom to subdue prey 15 times their size. While normally not fatal to huans, their bites can be extremely painful. Chen said he has enough experience to stay safe,  never feels unsafe, and warns that handling such critters should be left to the experts.
