S. Korea, Japan FMs likely to discuss bilateral disputes next week at Davos

The foreign ministers of South Korea and Japan will meet for talks next Wednesday in Switzerland on the sidelines of Davos Forum.
It's likely they'll discuss recent issues between their countries, including the rulings on forced labor.
Earlier this year, a local South Korean court approved the seizure some assets of a Japanese steelmaker... after the company refused to compensate South Korean victims for their unpaid work during Japan's colonial rule.
Japan has called for an inter-governmental discussion on the matter.
There's also the dispute over an encounter last month in the East Sea between the two countries' militaries.
Tokyo claims that a South Korean destroyer used its radar to target a Japanese plane,... but South Korea maintains the destroyer was on a rescue mission and did not use its targeting radar.
Seoul and Tokyo recently met in Singapore, but the dispute is far from resolved.
