Michael Cohen, a former attorney for President Trump, on Thursday, responded to a recent Wall Street Journal report about his involvement in an effort "to rig online polls in his boss's favor before the presidential campaign."  "As for the @WSJ article on poll rigging, what I did was at the direction of and for the sole benefit of @realDonaldTrump @POTUS," Cohen said in a tweet. "I truly regret my blind loyalty to a man who doesn't deserve it." According to the Journal, money was paid to John Gauger, who runs RedFinch Solutions LLC. Gauger told the publication that "though Mr. Cohen promised him lucrative work for the presidential campaign, his activities related to Mr. Trump consisted of trying unsuccessfully to manipulate two online polls in Mr. Trump's favor." The reimbursement was reportedly among the dealings noted by federal prosecutors when Cohen was charged in August.  Cohen was sentenced to three years in prison for charges that "included arranging hush-money payments to two women who said they had affairs with Mr. Trump, tax evasion, making a false statement to a bank and lying to Congress," reports the New York Times.
