Anne Hathaway will star in Warner Bros.’ “The Witches,” Robert Zemeckis’s adaptation of Roald Dahl’s 1983 novel.

Hathaway will play the Grand High Witch, played by Anjelica Huston in the first adaptation of the children’s book in 1990.

The Witches is about a boy who stumbles across a coven of child-hating witches who secretly inhabit the world.

According to SF Gate, he is forced to stop them even after he’s been transformed into a mouse.
