Snowstorm Hits U.S. Midwest

Reuters reports that a winter storm has pummeled the U.S. Midwest, stranding motorists in Missouri and canceling dozens of flights. The weather system, which started as rain from Mexico turned into snow and is affecting an 1,800-mile section of the United States from Colorado to the Mid-Atlantic. The colossal storm hit Kansas and Missouri on Friday and again on Saturday as it stretched into parts of Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, and Ohio.
