Peter Sollett to Direct Warner Brothers ‘Minecraft’ Movie

According to SF Gate, 2008's "Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist" director Peter Sollett, has been hired to write and direct Warner Bros.’ long-awaited film adaptation of “Minecraft.” The film will be based on the popular global video game of the same name. The story will follow a teenage girl and her unlikely group of adventuresome friends who must save their beautiful, blocky Overworld from the malicious and destructive Ender Dragon.
