World's largest religious festival all set to take place in India

PRAYAGRAJ, INDIA — India is all set for Kumbh Mela, the biggest religious festival in the world, beginning on January 15.
The Indian town of Prayagraj, originally known as Allahabad, is getting ready for the annual Kumbh Mela festivities. Prayagraj will be the largest temporary city in the world during the festival, according to CNBC TV18.
The festival of Kumbh Mela has also been added to UNESCO's list of "Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity," according to Times Now News.
The Kumbh Mela celebrations takes place near the Triveni Sangam, which is where three sacred rivers in Hinduism meet together. People usually bathe in the water to wash off their sins.
Preparations have been made so that devotees can pray at the "Akshay Vat," which is a sacred fig tree in Hinduism."
Hindu monks that live in seclusion, often attend the Kumbh Mela to interact with the public and chant vedic mantras and play spiritual music.
As many as 800 special trains will run to the city in order to prepare for the event, according to Times Now News. Airlines such as Air India have also announced flights to the holy city. The Kumbh Mela takes place over 55 days and will last until March 30.
